How to Spice Up the Walls in Your Home
Gallery walls are a household favorite because they are a way to display your loved ones, spice up the walls, and bring personality to your home. Do you have family photos that you want to hang up in your home, but you don’t know where to start? It can be overwhelming to figure out where to place wall art and create a gallery wall. However, with a few examples, you’ll be hanging pieces in your home like a pro.
Where To Start
First, you have to figure out the basics, like where you want to put the gallery art, what pictures you want to display, the vibe you want to give with the pieces you’re hanging, and lastly what frames you’ll be using. In the picture above, you can see mix and match frames with different colors, textures, and sizes. However, if you want a simple, clean, symmetrical effect, you could keep all the sizes of the frames the same and use the same frames, as shown in the picture below.

Once you’ve made all the decisions and you have all of your supplies ready, you can try out a few different styles and options that work best for the space and what you’re displaying. Still have no idea where to start? Another tip is to tape paper that is the size of your frames to the wall to create a blueprint, and play around with different layouts.
Adding Spice
Now that you have the basics down for creating a beautiful centerpiece in your home, let’s talk about how we can add a twist to your gallery wall. One way you can do this is by adding wall decor into the layout. Try things like floating shelves, mirrors, art or letters/quotes that represent your home.
Finishing Touches
Finishing touches are the things that will make your home have personality. As you can see in the photo above, there are books on the shelf, a picture of the London Bridge, and some plants that always bring life to any room. Don’t be afraid to add different textures, colors, and materials to your gallery wall. It’s what makes your home yours, and it will spice up the walls in your home.
